Are Iranian Sanctions Beginning to Work?

Although we may be seeing the beginning of what could spread into a popular movement against the Iranian government, it is important to ask ourselves when in recent history have sanctions toppled governments or successfully forced them to moderate?

Sanctions, no matter how strictly enforced, typically hurt the people – not the leaders. Case in point Saddam’s Iraq.
